The SC High School League Executive Committee has directed the League office staff to organize a competitive balance committee that will report a finding to them prior to its next scheduled meeting (November 20, 2019). This group is charged with the task of reviewing data in search of evidence as to whether an unfair competitive advantage/disadvantage exists among the member schools as it relates to traditional public schools and non-traditional schools (i.e. private, charter, magnet, etc.), and if an unfair advantage/ disadvantage exists, how best to address it.
All Competitive Balance Committee meetings will be held at the SC High School League office building. Their meeting dates are as follows:
September 24, 2019 @ 10:00 a.m.
October 10, 2019 @ 10:00 a.m.
October 22, 2019 @ 10:00 a.m.
November 5, 2019 @ 10:00 a.m.
November 18, 2019 @ 10:00 a.m.
These committee members welcome any input that you can provide as they deliberate over the issues surrounding this matter.
